Conceptual & Technical Product Description
Budino Creta is a top-handle pouch bag design in Atelier Emine's Crystal Gelato Couture collection, approached with a single-piece couture perspective and offering a sculptural amalgamation of textile and crystal craftsmanship.
The exterior surface of the bag is entirely handcrafted using 8 mm standard round cut optical grade crystal beads with a high tensile strength monofilament fishing line through a multi-layered mesh weaving technique. Crystals are placed at regular intervals on the surface, allowing light reflections to concentrate at specific points, creating a perception of depth.
The crystal mesh is designed to encase the silky textured textile pouch form in the inner structure. The soft textured fabric used in the inner pouch provides volume control with its gathered upper structure, while the crystal mesh serves as a protective and aesthetic framework defining the external form of the bag.
The crystal mesh top-handle strap positioned at the top is ergonomically structured for hand carrying; the handle integrates seamlessly with the body, enhancing the monoblock character of the design. Textile drawstrings at the sides allow the pouch structure to open and close while being integrated as a decorative element into the form language.
Budino Creta offers a fluid yet controlled structure that operates using a textile drawstring system and the natural balance principle of the crystal mesh, without the use of a closure mechanism. This approach emphasizes both the couture and functional identity of the design.
